Custom House is the exclusive USA distributor of Gumnut Yarns hand-dyed wool, mohair, and silk threads
from Australia -- "Blossoms", "Gemstones", "Daisies", "Tulips", "Moonbeams", "Poppies", "Opals", "Buds", "Jewels", "Stars", and "Aztecs". These threads are suitable for all forms of surface embroidery, needlepoint, and counted-thread embroidery.

The Gumnut Yarns company in Australia is no longer producing
any of its hand-dyed embroidery threads. Some colors in all thread lines
are now out-of-stock and many more have very limited availability.
Custom House of Needle Arts will continue to provide any colors that are available.

BLOSSOMS -- 2-ply crewel wool -- Australian grown and spun
278 available softly-shaded colors -- 25m (27.3 yd) skein

There are 58 BLOSSOMS color families. The first two digits of each color number gives the family (e.g. 01).
The last digit gives the shade within the color family -- the higher the number, the darker the shade
(e.g. 019 is darker than 013).

We currently have 278 colors of BLOSSOMS available.
We suggest using 2 or 3 strands of DAISIES in place of unavailable BLOSSOMS.

Each of the 24 GEMSTONES color families has been inspired by an Australian Gemstone.
Each family ranges from light (1) to dark (5). The GEMSTONES families are:

Each family has a light (LT), medium (MD), and dark (DK) shade.

The MOONBEAMS families are Agate, Amethyst, Emerald, Garnet,

The AZTECS families are Agate, Amethyst, Emerald, Garnet,
Jade, Jasper, Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz, and Turquoise.

Gumnut Yarns threads are completely hand-dyed in small lots using only natural unbleached wools, mohair,
and silks. Colors are reproduced as accurately as possible, but due to the nature of hand-dying there may be slight variations between lots.
