Blazing Star Quilt

A Counted Canvas Design

Stitched with Soy Luster Solids and Shadows

This design is based on a very traditional
star-patterned American quilt. The pattern
is variously known as Blazing Star, Eight
Pointed Star, LeMoyne Star, Lemon Star,
Star of Bethlehem, or Ohio Star, depending
upon the location where it was made.

A mix of solid and shadow-dyed threads
is used in this design to reflect the typical
use of both solid and patterned fabrics
in quilts.
